Reset fusebox (just in case)

Occasionally if a light bulb blew then the fuse box would trip out leaving you in darkness!! This is normal but a bit inconvenient although it rarely happens these days now we are converted to led bulbs.

The emergency lighting in the kitchen and on the upstairs landing will automatically light up. There is a torch usually kept on the shelf behind the front door you will need to see inside the fuse box cupboard.

The fuse box is located under the book shelf in the lounge, move out the settee and remove the door. Open the fuse box cover and you should see the fuse box as in the photo above.

Don’t be concerned this is a safe procedure – all the wiring circuits and appliances in the house have been tested by a qualified electrician.

All the switches should be pointing away from you – if any are pointing centrally then that is the one that has tripped. Pull the switch towards you very firmly until you feel it click (and I mean VERY FIRMLY) then push it firmly away from you to the other position as in the photo.

All lighting / power should then be restored.

Any problems call us on your mobile and I will talk you through it.

Sorry for any inconvenience – this has not happened for many years now …… but just in case.
